My Entire Beauty Routine

Hello Petals!!

Today’s post will be about beauty and self-care—one of my absolute favorite topics!

Being on camera almost every day made me realize very quickly: when I look good and feel beautiful, it shows in my attitude and confidence.

However, it also comes at a cost—the time and energy I must put into myself.

I have struggled with mental health issues in the past, and some days it would truly be draining. But we heal and grow—consistently editing and updating our life paths and choosing to move forward day by day. Choosing to water the garden.

My routine is grounding, effective, and realistic enough that I’ll actually stick to it.

Astrology note: Tauruses are often unfairly labeled as "lazy," but the truth is much more chic. Ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty and luxury, we simply refuse to rush the process. Tauruses take their time and truly build rituals that last.

So, here is my step-by-step that keeps me feeling confident, fresh, and put-together.

I. Face

My skincare is a mix of sculpting, hydration, and keeping my skin as clear and smooth as possible. For background: I am very picky about my skincare! In my early teens, I struggled with very bad acne, and it was a long and rigorous process finding what was right for me. Having combination skin means I have to modify new trends—balancing sensitivity and oiliness without over-drying.

Morning / Pre-Shower Ritual: Before I shower, I like to do a sculpting face massage routine. I use my hands or a gua sha with rosehip oil, focusing on my face and décolletage. I practice slow breathing and really focus on the massage. It helps with lymphatic drainage, reduces puffiness, and makes me feel more awake and snatched before the day even starts.

In the Shower: I keep this part simple and consistent:

  • Daily Cleanser: Face Reality Barrier Balance Creamy Cleanser | $37.00

  • Exfoliator: Antioxidant Scrub (1–2x per week) | $34.00

Nothing too harsh—I’ve learned that overdoing it just makes my skin worse. Dried out or textured skin can really show, especially when you start adding layers of makeup.

Post-Shower Skincare: This is where I focus on hydration and glow:

  • Face Reality Moisture Balance Toner | $34.00

  • Face Reality HydraBalance Gel | $34.00

  • Rhode Glazing Milk | $32.00

  • La Roche-Posay Moisturizer with SPF | $24.99

I layer everything lightly so my skin looks dewy, keeping a nice balance of glowing but not oily.

II. Hair

Moving on to my hair routine. Currently, I try to go for “low effort, high impact.” To be honest, I’m not completely confident in my styling techniques. So, I focus on keeping it healthy, soft, and bright so it looks good even with minimal styling. Being a gym girl with platinum hair and extensions is a little tricky; balancing keeping my hair clean and fresh without over-washing and drying it out is key.

Wash Routine:

  • Ouai Shampoo + Conditioner | $32.00 each

  • Purple shampoo/conditioner occasionally to keep the tone fresh

  • Ouai Oil / Moroccan Oil on the ends (2x per day) | $32.00/$38.00

Weekly Treatment:

  • Amika hair mask: (1x per week)

  • It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In: (2–3x per week, when I notice my hair needs a little more help) | $21.00

I’ve been doing this routine since February and I’ve been really liking it! Also, I only stick to wide-tooth combs or the Wet Brush.

III. Body

Lastly, but nevertheless important: ✨body care✨

Dry Brushing: Before showering, I use a body brush for exfoliation and lymphatic drainage. It helps with circulation and makes my skin look smoother overall.

In the Shower:

  • Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash | $10.99

  • Exfoliating Towel | $3.49

Post-Shower Skincare:

  • Agent 88 Spray | $29.00

  • CeraVe Moisturizer | $13.59

  • Moisturizer for Scent (testing)

  • Body Oil (testing)

Moisture Layering: I’m currently experimenting with a "scent parfait." I usually avoid scented skincare due to past irritation, but I’m testing a three-step process: one moisturizer for softness that I know won’t cause irritation, one scented moisturizer (used sparingly), and a body oil. The verdict is still out, but I will update you guys!!

Perfumes:

  • Kayali Vanilla 28 | $32.00

  • OR Eilish Eau de Parfum | $62.00

Another thing I’m currently exploring! So far, these two are my favorites, but I’m so excited to try more fragrances!!!

Over and Over and Over Again

Consistency will always be key. Long-term benefits will always pay off.

Quick breakdown:

  • Lymphatic drainage = less puffiness

  • Hydration = natural glow

  • Healthy hair = effortless polish

When I feel taken care of, it shows. Thank you so much for reading!!

xoxo,

Rose Veil
